Some very nice rental cabins. Great swimming pool. Tennis courts , walking trails , nice lake for fishing. Overall nice park to visit or spend a vacation.
This is a lovely quiet place to visit. There are no motor boats on the lake. There is a hisorical 'standing stone' that marked a historical boundary. Go and learn more!
Best darn Kentucky State Park in the whole USA. I have been privileged to attend the National Rolley Hole Marble Tournament Championship for the past 7 years. We love cabin #9. The staff of the entire park will do what it takes to see that you have a good time. There are many many activities to do during the Summer. If you are looking for rustic and comfort this is the place. The Mountains and Forrest that encompasses the park are breathtaking. From a small group to a large group, they can accommodate you. Give it a try. You can't go wrong. Just talk to Park Ranger Shawn or Allie in the office. Tell them that Charlie sent them. Have a great day.
Basically had the park to ourselves this trip! Campsite was peaceful, enjoyed the trail around the lake, although it could be marked better. Glad I had the map on my phone!
Great state park! My boyfriend and I drove down for the total eclipse and experienced it from one of their canoes. Truly life changing
There are plenty of nice spots to enjoy a picnic too!
The park staff are quite friendly and kind. The hike around the lake is easy enough for young children and people who are not used to difficult trails.
